Shares in a clear uptrend by three simple tests, all of which must pass.

Formula

Range position ≥ 70% AND 13-week return ≥ +5% AND 26-week return > 0

Worked example

1. Example: Example plc
2. EXMP range position = ($92.00 − $60.00) ÷ ($95.00 − $60.00) = 91% ✓ ≥ 70%
3. 13-week return = +9.5% ✓ ≥ +5%
4. 26-week return = +14.0% ✓ above 0
