Published charges checked 28 October 2026. Simplified: online trades only; regular-investing discounts, phone dealing, fund dealing, interest kept on cash and the funds' own ongoing charges aren't included. Stamp duty (0.5% on most UK share purchases) is the same everywhere. Charges change: check the platform's own charges page before switching. We aren't paid by any platform.

Besides the price

  • What you can buy. Some platforms are ETFs only or their own funds only. Check yours has the shares and funds you want.
  • Moving later. Transferring an ISA keeps its tax-free status; never withdraw and re-deposit. Most platforms don't charge to leave.
  • Protection. Your investments are held separately from the platform's own money, and FSCS cover (up to £85,000 per person per firm) applies if a firm fails and assets are missing. It doesn't cover investments falling in value.
  • Cash. Some platforms pay interest on uninvested cash and some keep more of it. It matters if you hold a lot of cash.
